An auction catalogue for a refined collection of furniture and decorative objects by the great masters of French furniture making in the Art Deco period. At the heart of the museum-quality collection are 23 pieces by Jean-Michel Frank - a quartz table lamp, a shagreen and ivory cabinet, a vellum 'diabolo' stool, a satinwood veneered cabinet, a walnut and leather chair (made with Hermes), and much more. Other makers include Adnet, Arbus, Chareau, Dunand, Dupré-Lafon, Giacometti, Leleu, Poillerat, Rateau, and Ruhlmann. Of particular note is a 270 piece silver flatware service with handles in silver, polished ebony and bakelite, designed by Pierre Legrain and manufactured Robert Linzeler and Puiforcat.
