This is the most comprehensive monograph on the French architect and designer Charlotte Perriand (1903-1999). Perriand was a leading exponent of Modernist design and throughout her life she created works which exemplified her political belief that better, functional design could create a better, functional society. Drawing on her own personal archives (opened for the first time) this book details and illustrates her output (solo and collaborative) from 1903 to 1959.
