Very good; light brown staining affecting top and base of boards, ink gift inscription on verso of front board of portfolio, paper paste-down on inside spine of portfolio splitting, text and plates in excellent condition.The French furniture designer Jean Royere has edited this collection of 1940s fire place designs. The designers featured include Paul Dupre-Lafon, H. J. Le Meme, Rene Gabriel, Jean Pascaud, Jean Prou, Claude Olivier-Merson, Pierre Matinet, Jacques Adnet, Suzanne Guiguichon, Salvat Freres, Pierre Moreillon, Paul Pouchol, Andre Arbus,, Rene Drouet and Jean Royere himself. The style of the majority of the fireplaces is modernist with clean lines and a mix of fine materials. This makes the designs especially transferable to contemporary interiors.
