The catalogue for an exhibition at the Palace of Arts, Cairo of David Hockney's drawings and prints created in and inspired by Egypt. Hockney first visited in Egypt in 1963 with a consignment from the Sunday Times Magazine to create a visual diary of his explorations. He used Alexandria as a back drop for his Cavafy etchings and in 1978 returned to Egypt to gain inspiration for his stage designs for Glyndebourne's Magic Flute. A scarce catalogue.
