Catalogue for an exhibition held at the Fondation Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent in Paris. Jean-Michel Frank (1895-1941) was a leading designer and decorator during the Art Deco period and worked with many society figures in the years between the World Wars. His style of "luxe pauvre" used simple forms and shapes combined with exquisite materials and craftsmanship. Presented here are the finest pieces created by Frank during his career, including his collaborations with Salvador Dalí, Emilio Terry, Christian Bérard and Alberto Giacometti.
