Very good; slipcase has light surface wear, some fading and a small 4cm split to cloth on top edge; the book has been excellently preserved in fine condition.A scarce copy of Shizuo Honda's important study of Japanese ceramic lion-dogs, 'Komu-Inu'. Honda spent many years researching the subject and scoured Japan for surviving examples of Komu-Inu. Over 300 examples are presented here dating from 1186 to 1867.
