This is the first monograph on the work of the French designer Marc du Plantier (1901-1975). The book surveys his entire career in furniture design and interior decoration, beginning in Paris in the 1930s, then looking at his move to Mexico and the US in the '60s, and finally his return to Paris. Detailed essays and descriptions of his work are accompanied by original drawings and photographs. Du Plantier's style is one of clean classical lines, fine materials and original forms, and his work today is much sought-after and collected.
