Michael Dweck has been visiting Montauk, part of the Long Island Penisula, since his teenage years. He is drawn by the unspoilt, free-spirited nature of the place, unspoilt by the Hamptons crowd. The images of young, beautiful and carefree surfers contained in The Endwere taken over the course of one Summer's trip and are intended to capture the spirit of the region before it's inevitable commercialisation. This is Dweck's first book. It's design and subject matter look back to Bruce Weber's O Rio de Janerio.
