The illustrated guide to the Festival of Britain's Pleasure Gardens in Battersea Park. The gardens were open from May to November of 1951 and included such attractions as the Guinness Clock, the Far Tottering and Oyster Creek Railway, the Dragon Ride, the Giant Fernhouse and Fireworks, Punch and Judy, and the Peter Pan Railway. A central map, words and illustrations conjure the grounds to life. The cover by Hans Tisdall is a fine example of 1950s graphic design.
