A 1960s inventive cookbook from Arabella Boxer. Subtitled 'The Three-Tier Menu Guide', First Slice Your Cookbook is composed of pages cut into three, with hors d'oeuvres and soups at the top, main courses in the middle, and sweets and savouries to finish. The reader can mix and match to create a complete menu. The recipes are colour coded to denote richness and also include wine suggestions from the Wine & Food Society. The book was designed by Boxer's husband, Mark. Copies of this highly tactile book are hard to find in this condition with the slipcase.
