A beautifully produced catalogue for a Japanese exhibition examining the work of three American photographers - Robert Mapplethorpe, Herb Ritts and Bruce Weber. The exhibition identifies a strong movement amongst photographers in the 1980s towards portraying the nude in an honest and real manner. The work of Mapplethorpe, Ritts and Weber bought a new knowledge and consciousness of the nude to the viewer. A separate volume of plates is devoted to each photographer.
