John Deakin's photographic study of the London streets, scarce in the dust jacket. Deakin is now best known for his portraits of artists and writers, especially his part in recording Soho life and Francis Bacon. He was also a keen street photographer, and his images of London are reproduced here. The emphasis is on the hidden beauty of London's architecture. The book was published a year after Deakin was fired for the first time from Vogue.
