The catalogue for a brace of exhibitions on the British couturier Norman Hartnell. The first, in Brighton, displayed Hartnell's creations owned by private and public collectors, including designs made for royalty. The second, in Bath, was composed of pieces in the permanent collection of the Museum of Costume. Hartnell's glittering, sequinned clothes are illustrated alongside contemporary photographs and drawings. The designer's work for the theatre is also explored.
