A "sequel" to Brassai's Paris de Nuit, published four years later by the same publisher. Schall's Paris de Jourmirrors what Brassai achieved in his ground-breaking photobook but with less technical panache. Photographs of the familiar landmarks of Paris are placed alongside traditional streets scenes of shoppers, diners, workers and tourists. Jean Cocteau provides a pithy preface.
