An extremely attractive copy of Roland Penrose's biography of his friend, Picasso. As the title suggests, Penrose examines the impact that Picasso's eventful life has on his art. He writes about the artist's Spanish heritage, the bull-fights which he visited with his father, Parisian life and the artistic circle there, his relationships with women, the Spanish Civil War and two World Wars. The book ends with Picasso in the South of France, still full of life and creative energy.
