An historical novel by Helen Simpson, with a striking dust jacket by Anna Zinkeisen. Simpson's story is set in seventeenth century Hanover and revolves around a love triangle between Sophia-Dorothea, Prince George Louis of Hanover (later George I) and Count Philip Konigsmark. The book was made into a film in 1948.
