A publication dealing with artist-designed books of the revolutionary period in Russia. Major artists adopted the book format for artistic, social and political reasons, including Natalia Goncharova, El Lissitzky, Kazimir Malevich, Alexander Rodchenko, Olga Rozanova and Varvara Stepanova. The movements of Futurism, Suprematism and Constructivism are all evident. The current title was published to coincide with an exhibition at The Museum of Modern Art, New York.
