The catalogue for a retrospective exhibition of Richard Long's work held at the Hayward Gallery. Photographs and text recall the artist's various land art projects around the globe, revisiting sites in the Sahara Desert, the Rio Grande, Japan, Dartmoor, Bolivia, Nepal, the Pyrenees, and elsewhere. The concept and layout of the book were created by Long himself. The images and words are not chronological and do not directly correlate on the page, instead they form two distinct paths through the book, united by a common theme.
