A souvenir programme for Roland Petit's production of Cyrano de Bergerac staged in Paris in 1959. The production boasted costume designs by Yves Saint Laurent, then head designer at Christian Dior. The Dior house executed the costumes for Zizi Jeanmaire playing Roxane, the remaining designs were made-up by Irene Karinska. Two of Saint Laurent's illustrations for costumes are reproduced, as well as photographs of the cast and crew by Robert Doisneau and Roger Picherie.
