In 2010 Sophie Calle was awarded the Hasselblad Foundation International Award in Photography. Calle's award was celebrated with an exhibition and this publication. True Stories contains images from the photographic series of the same name created by the artist since 1988. Each photograph displays Calle's seemingly incompatible mix of the personal and the analytical, frequently accompanied by the artist's words.
