A definitive book on the life and work of designer David Hicks. The book is written by his son Ashley Hicks, who had complete access to the family archives and photographs. Hicks challenged traditional design with his bold use of colour and geometric patterns, and his mixing of old and new. He designed interiors for Mrs Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Prince Charles and Princess Anne, Helena Rubinstein and King Fahd of Saudi Arabia. His residential designs are illustrated next to commercial projects as well as Hicks' own numerous homes.
