[Irving Penn]

In 1995, Irving Penn donated his professional archives, along with a set of prints, to The Art Institute of Chicago. Following this, a major exhibition was staged to survey the work of this great twentieth-century photographer. This is the resulting catalogue. Penn's photographs across many different genres and periods are illustrated here, including his fashion, portraiture, nudes, still life, advertising, and ethnographic work.
