A fine early book on the work of John Piper, with original aquatint and lithographs. The book was published at the height of Piper's career and was produced alongside the artist. It focuses on his paintings and drawings, reproducing in fine quality his work from the first half of the twentieth-century. Piper produced an original aquatint 'Figures from a Seal' and four lithographs specifically for the book. The lithographs were drawn in Paris and printed by Mourlot.
