In 1999 Sophie Calle created an exhibition at the Freud Museum in London. She placed objects and mementoes from her past within Freud's former home and supplemented these with short anecdotes on pink slips. Questions of identity, fantasy and pyschoanalysis play out in the museum. Appointment with Sigmund Freud recreates the exhibition with Calle's photographs of the objects and settings, accompanied by the original texts.
